We are delighted to welcome all of you as incoming third graders. This letter is being sent to you early so that you may purchase supplies for the coming year.
Please bring these items to school during the first week, but not on the first day.
- 4 or 6 small glue sticks
- a box of 16 or 24 crayons (no larger please)
- a small set of thin line markers (Crayola markers are good)
- a 2-pocket folder
- 2 dozen (or more) #2 sharpened pencils
- a small set of colored pencils
- 2 red ball-point pens for correcting
- 1 eraser
- 1 - 4 oz. Elmer’s glue-all
- 1 box of Kleenex to share
- 1 roll of paper towels
- yellow highlighter
- pink and green highlighter if you can find them
Additional needed supplies will be requested later. We do not use binders in third grade, so leave these at home if you have them. The space in the children’s desks is quite limited. Please do not send large size items or extra “stuff.” There simply isn’t room! You will need to put your child’s name or initials on all items brought from home, including lunch pails, jackets, and backpacks. Thank you so much!
