Oak Elementary School

Dear Oak families,

It’s hard to believe that the start of school is almost here. I hope everyone had a wonderful and restful break, filled with fun, family, and time to recharge. I spent most of my summer cheering on my daughters’ softball teams, cooking new recipes (and enjoying plenty of good food), and soaking up some downtime with a good book or two.

Each new school year brings a sense of excitement and possibiity – for educators, students, and families alike. The return of our students fills our campus with energy and purpose as we begin another year of learning, connection, and growth.

At Oak, we are continuing our commitment to deeper learning – where students engage in rich, meaningful tasks that spark curiosity, build critical thinking skills, and foster collaboration. Our goal is to nurture confident, capable learners who can solve real-world problems, communicate their ideas, and grow from challenge and feedback. This work is grounded in our belief that every child deserves learning experiences that are engaging, relevant, and joyful.

Our dedicated maintenance crew, office staff, and teachers have been working hard this summer to prepare a safe, welcoming environment that supports these goals. I’m also incredibly grateful to our PTA board, who have been busy organizing community-building events to help kick off the year.

As we move through the 2025-26 school year, I kindly ask that you commit to reading our weekly newsletter as it will contain important information.
